By participating in the Program, you will gain not only a chance to work in Vancouver, one of Canada’s most dynamic cities, but you will also learn strategic business management skills, and strengthen your business English level academically and professionally.
This course is designed to increase your familiarity with marketing, presentations, public speaking skills, business communication, resumes and job interviews in North America. Having a higher-level qualification from a Canadian-recognized college, along with a work experience, will allow you to become more confident, thrive in your career, and succeed in the workplace.
The program is divided equally into two components: for the first 50% of the program you will study, and in the next 50% of the program you will gain paid and relevant work experience.
•Minimum age: 19.
•Start date: all year; every three weeks. 48 weeks
•Closing date for applications: At least four weeks before departure
•Nationality: EU citizens and Swiss nationals
•Language skills: You should have a good grasp of written and spoken English. You can refresh your knowledge with a preparatory course and increase your chance of finding a good job.
•Insurances: Before starting your program we need proof of your health insurance, personal/public liability insurance and your accident insurance
•Extensive guidance and support prior to departure.
•Preparation for job interviews.
•As many job interviews as you need until you find a job.
•Application training (Help writing your applications).
•Work placement service through the PractiGo partner office in Vancouver for a period of six months.
•Help opening a bank account.

Language course (optional)
An English course in Vancouver can be booked to help you learn or improve your English skills and improve your chances of quickly getting a job.
Accommodation with a family. Staying with a local host family, gives you the best chance of learning the culture and the language first hand.
