San Francisco is located on the west coast of the United States, within the state of California. Surrounding the coasts are the Californian Coast Mountains, granting a wonderful environment. Currently it is considered the second city in America with the best quality of life. Its population is around 1 million inhabitants, and is the fifth largest city in the country. Other major cities in this area are Oakland and San Jose.
San Francisco has several islands along its coasts, like the Farallon Islands, located just 27 miles offshore. The most symbolic monument in San Francisco is the Golden Gate Bridge, built 1937 to unite San Francisco. The Golden Gate is named after the ancient passage which linked Europe and Asia.
The city is also renowned for the Transamerica Pyramid; it is the tallest building in San Francisco (260 meters approx.). Another unique attraction is the trams that run through the steep streets. The beautiful city has become in recent years one of main most see tourist places. The quality of life, its liberal and beautiful landscapes make it a destination ideal for learning.
Location: The school is located in the attic of a central historic building on the 14th floor. It lies on the doorstep of the Union Square, Chinatown and SOMA. The Montgomery Bart Station is just across the street from the building.
