Volunteer in Thailand

Thailand is considered to be paradise. White beaches lined with coconut trees, clear turquoise water with coral reefs, jungle and picturesque landscape, friendly people – these are keywords to describe impressions of Thailand. Volunteer in this environment! Upon arrival in Bangkok you must to take a VIP Bus to Chumphon. This City is located about 480 km from Bangkok (around 9 hours with the bus).

During your volunteer work you will live with a host family in Chumphon. Chumphon is located 7 kilometers from the Gulf of Thailand and is considered the gateway to southern Thailand. So you will have enough time to do holiday activities. Before your volunteer work starts, you will attend a workshop where you will learn everything you need to know about the local customs and the Thai culture.

Also various activities are planned where you will meet new people from all over the world. Upon applying, you can choose from the following examples and you will familiarize yourself with the work on site: childcare and teaching, adult education, working with addicts, HIV education, caring for orphaned or disabled children.

Conditions

•Minimum age: 18.

•Start date: Always on a Monday, all year round.

•Duration: 4 - 24 weeks.

•Closing date for applications: Approx. 2 or 3 months before your departure.

•Language skills: A good grasp of English is required.

•Nationality: EU-citizens.

•Insurance: Before you start your Volunteer Programme we require proof of your health-, liability- and accident-insurance for the full duration of your stay.

•For Volunteers in Medicine 80 Euro extra costs for the health certificate.
