Volunteer in Chile
In Latin America there are often very big social differences; between rich and poor there is a great divide. In Chile there are families who live in great poverty and depend on help from others. Sick and disabled children are often rejected, no longer have a home and live in hospitals or children’s homes. In collaboration with different social establishments and non-profit organisations we offer you voluntary work in Chile in the areas of education, social work, environmental protection and medicine (health education).
The projects, in which you will support the local people as a voluntary worker, are located in Santiago. Upon request, we can also try to find projects in other regions of Chile. In most cases you will work directly with the people affected and you will take on tasks such as supervising and looking after sick or homeless children, disabled or elderly people, homeless people or you will help in the support of the Mapuche or native Indians.

•Minimum age: 18.
•Start date: Always on a Monday, all year round.
•Duration: 6 - 24 weeks (longer upon request).
•Closing date for applications: Approx. two or three months before your departure.
•Nationality: Eu citizens, Swiss nationals, others possible upon request.
•Language skills: A good grasp of Spanish is required. We are happy to organise a language course for you to improve your skills or learn from scratch.
•Insurance: Before you start your Volunteer Programme we require proof of your health-, liability- and accident-insurance for the full duration of your stay.
